Chul-In Park (foto Roger Mastroianni) was born in Seoul and came to the United States to study at the Juilliard School at age 11. She received a doctorate in music with a minor in arts administration from the Indiana University School of Music, where she served as teaching assistant to Josef Gingold, a former concertmaster of The Cleveland Orchestra. Chul-In Park joined the first violin section of The Cleveland Orchestra in September 1995.
