Bij haar dood schreef Mick Jagger (die op tournee was) op zijn officiële Facebookpagina: “I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me. I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her.”
In January 2015, it was announced that Mick Jagger created a three-year scholarship fund in her name for fashion design students at the London-based school Central Saint Martins. The scholarship, which began in October 2015 covers all the fees for one student each year, over the course of three years (through 2017).
In the weeks following her death, both her Banana Republic collection, and her higher-priced line at Barneys were in demand and sold out. She left her entire estate, estimated at about US$9 million, to Mick Jagger.
