Vandaag is het precies 85 jaar geleden dat een eerste Academy Award werd toegekend aan een cartoonfilm. Uiteraard, zou ik bijna zeggen, ging hij naar Walt Disney (hij is op dit moment nog altijd recordhouder) voor “Flowers and Trees, the 29th Silly Symphony”, tevens de eerste “full-colour” cartoon. Ook Goofy is hierin voor het eerst te zien.
