Today it’s ten years ago English pro Mark Bell died tragically.

Mark Bell was British Amateur National Champion in 1981. The same year he won two stages of the 1981 Milk Race and a year later he was once again a stage winner in the Milk Race, besides winning the Lincoln GP.
In 1983 he won the GP Essex, the Archer GP and L’Etoile Du Sud in France. After he participated at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, he turned pro and in 1985 he came 3rd in the British Pro Champs. In 1986 he was even the winner of the British Pro Champs!
He was a professional for Falcon in 1985, Raleigh in 1986 and 1987 and Emmelle MBK in 1988.

(Thanks to Mike Bell)
